I pulled my roll bar today, and the I.D. was slightly over 2 5/16", meaning the wall thickness is somewhere around 0.080 - 0.090". To be blunt, it doesn't appear to me to be much thicker than normal exhaust tubing (usually about 0.065" I'm told).
Based on the above, it would seem the roll bar is more for decoration than something we should depend upon too greatly. Anybody aware of any circumstances where a WC Cobra or Kellison Stallion was actually in a situation where the roll bar was needed? I hope not, but I'd sure be curious to see how it turned out.
