Smile Stuff

Made a wheel center for my RCR40 today and also got a replacement shift knob that may get a little mod done as well. Talking with A.J. he gave me the Grant Billet trim ring and Horn button part number that would fit the RCR steering wheel that comes with my car. I got the GRANT #5870 and did some grinding on the horn button to make a recessed center for the GT40 Decal I got from Chris Martino a while back.

My shift knob came from flatchat (Chris) the quality is great. Tim Dutton turned me on to this little gem. I am thinking about using the pictured Ford emblem for the top of the shifter by countersinking it in the top of the knob. What do you think? Maybe I should just leave it alone?

Thumbs up First Start

We have ignition !!!!................

Allen English first start:

Fran Hall put our first start up video up on youtube today.... Man it's sweeeet! Fran said that the engine fired right up the first time. That's what I like to hear, and the very reason we went with the DynaTek Injection.

What a fantastic Christmas present!

Thanks Fran and RCR crew.

Default She's finished

Well we are in Detroit this weekend (January 2010) and we had a very nice visit with Fran Hall yesterday. Fran came in on his day off to meet with us and finalize the details on our turn key RCR40 build. I have to say that our car has turned out to be exactly the car we envisioned. and in fact exceeded our expectations. Fran has done this car right and we look forward to getting it to its new home in Oregon. Updates and travel log to be added in the future here......

Fran - RCR crew ...... Thank you! Job well done! Dean I wanted to also thank you, you also helped out with some very critical details on our car.

We I hope you enjoy the pictures and the slide show. More to come after the car arrives.

Slide Show/http://s803.photobucket.com/albums/y...w&t=1264221304

We went to the Detroit Auto Show yesterday, today we will go to the Henry Ford Museum. More detailed pictures and a home coming video soon.

Not home yet, but Fran say's it will ship out next week for sure. We can't wait to get it. Too bad the weather is still bad for the next couple months. I guess I will be having friends over to see it, instead of being out and about with it.

Some day maybe. I have got a lot of $ invested in this car and the wife may just have my head if I race it. For now we plan to show it and then get some seat time in it traveling along the Oregon and California coast line.

I don't think most Oregonains will quite understand what they've seen.

Well the car came home last week, but I have been too busy to look it over until today. It turned out real nice, I have a few things to take care of yet. I'm planning to do a walk around video in the morning if the weather is good and then post it here for your viewing pleasure.

Stay tuned....
