I am partial to the titanium, but Pat's red one looks awesome! Gotta' go with the red.

Just like AM#2

The previous owner, Jack Launtz, used to let my son play race cars in this car when we would visit. This is one cool car that is now, I heard, back in Europe.

Dwight,

If you are after a 'street' look, I would go for Red or Black, no stripes

If you are after a 'race' look, with numbers and the like, then Blue with White stripes, Red with White stripes or Gulf colors

You really can't go wrong, all the colors on your list would look good … GT 40's are such cool cars.

Wish I had more money and not be quite so tall, so I could have one and be able to fit into it

Bottom line ... go with what you like, and what your gut tells you!

Yeah, that AM#2 is one great looking GT. It has a great
stance.

Dwight, you gotta go with your gut on this one. What's for me may not be for you. Just to have a GT is special. Mine has
been a real pleasure to own for the past ten years. I am at
83K miles and still going strong. This year I did not get
to drive it much on long trips. I hope to put at least 6K on
her next year.

Smile Gt 40

Thanks

I plan on taking a few long trips in the GT40.

The one I'm buying is Black Cherry with Pewder stripes. I'm not sure about the color so I'll have to wait and see it in person. I've always wanted the Gulf Livery.

I favor Red / White stripe but I love the Gulf colors.

I'll have to wait a while before I can paint, IF it needs a color change.

See Ya on the road.

Please Keep posting pictures of GT 40.

Dwight

BT SNAKE, a few years ago you would put 2500 miles on your GT 40 in a week and half did you not? Slowing down a little?

Dwight,
I used to drive her everywhere. I slowed down a lot the
past few years because of various things. But I'm mostly
thankfull that I'm able to own this fine car.
I may even be in your neck of the woods next year. As you know I'm from Colbert County. (Littleville area) and
I will be at the Byrd family reunion. If I do make it I
will give you a shout and we can take some photos of the
two GT's together.

Dwight,
You need one of these if you travel a lot. This
baby has A/C and a sleep comfort mattress.
Also a cooler and stove.

Tim,
I get more attention in a campground than at a carshow. It's a lot of fun. More people ask about the trailer than the GT.
Dwight, It's a custom built. I designed it and had it
built to my specs. The outside is stainless steel
unpainted with black vinyl stripes. It has a 12 volt
and a 110 volt system with A/C . Pulls like a dream.

Mine's similar to Hersch, but no center stripes. Almost any color looks good on a 40. Dark colors are stunning, but harder to keep clean. That trailer is pretty unique Hersch.

Default Linden Green

I think Linden Green is a great classic race livery for a GT40. Gotta have black wheels too....not a color most people like, but I do!

I agree. I love that green as well. Black wheels do make make GT40 replicas look very authentic.
