2400 to 2500 all-up with a ZF and an alloy headed engine. There is not a huge difference FE to Windsor (50 # or so). The roller is around 1700 lbs.

Swift, don't get me wrong, I've wanted a GT40 for a long time, and came close to buying a GT40 roller a couple years ago. But once you close the door, there's no convertible top, no sunroof and no windows to roll down.
I like the Ford GT's and for an extra $50,000 +/-, I think they're a better choice for many reasons.

That means I can buy a spf gt40 and with the $50,000 left over buy a very nice used spf cobra, a 2 for 1, I would take a gt40 and a cobra all day long, over just a gt.

Eh, what's $50,000. Give or take.
Plus, they don't make the FGT's anymore.

My opinion only from watching that market closely for 5 years.

Now that's funny Jay!

Established in 1984.
TS40 in continuous production since 1989.
Removable door tops for the claustrophobic among us.
Three chassis types available, steel spaceframe, ally composite monocoque, carbon composite monocoque.
When all the others have long since stopped making GT40 replicas, we will still be quietly doing what we do...building TS40's
Best regards and looking forward to a beer with you and Rick at Carlisle.
Cheers,
Scott

They are very different cars to be sure. At least in my case, the cobra feels like a luxury car as compared to the GT. Much more supple suspension and certainly you have more elbow room. Now, the GT could be set up differently, but I appreciate the purpose of the car as it is. Storage in a GT is minimal to be sure....the passenger seat is often full of the incidentals instead of a human. I drive and enjoy both but in different ways.

He didn't have to weigh his to get his tags but thinks it would be in the 2600lb range.
