I think I had a Porsche 917 car with my electric Tyco or Aurora race car set, it was fast then!

I have to agree that the GT40 would be the top car of the 60's. I love the 917 for sure but it only raced in 69. It would have to be the best for the 70's!

I have the magazine from England ("Octane") where they put up pictures of the Gulf cars from then til now. As much as I loved the Gulf GT40 (and my Heritage Ford GT), the one that really forever is an eye catcher is the Gulf colored Porsche 917. It is a work of art
