It rains in my Superformance MK II

When it rains and the car has two car covers, it still there is a lot of water
mostly in the area around the pedals which then it spreads unde the seats.
It is very annoying and I can't figure out where it comes from.
Any suggestions?

Is the car sitting or are you taking about water that comes in when it rains? When I was first looking at cobras, a well respected superformance dealer asked my if I knew the difference between water proof and water resistant, and then stated that cobras are water resistant. With the top on they will leak at the center of the windshield where the two studs go in to secure the top. There are plenty of gaps around the doors and the zipper on the tonneau cover will leak as well. Get used to getting wet, but do make sure that you adequately dry the car each time that the interior gets wet. Water may also come up from the road through holes in the floor boards where the pedals are located.

The car is sitting, with two car covers!
If it rains I do not take it out.
I dry the car every time but with this rainy spring it is almost a daily routine.
First I thought it was coming from the a/c but it was not.
And there is a lot of water each time.

Cobras leak like a sieve. Water flows nicely over the windshield at road speeds. The world sucks when you have to stop at a stop light. But at road speeds it flows like a flood in and around the door channels. My head was dry, my feet were wet. Until I had to stop then the wet spots were reversed.
Worse is hail

Start here: SPF GT- Water/air sealing, the "DIY" thread - GT40s.com
The GT40 has a lot of potential water leakage areas that will need to be addressed to resolve this issue. It is not because the chassis is poorly built, it is in the nature of the design.....these were race cars and back then, drivers got wet. You can eliminate most of the water intrusion but as I told 1795, they are "water resistant," not "waterproof"!

Never mind my original thoughts on rain coming in through the top of the windshield and zipper on the tonneau cover, I thought that you had a MK II slab side; I forgot that you have a MK II GT40.

Listen ...you can totally make a Cobra dry inside.........
the water generally runs down the windscreen posts into the foot wells. So seal those with some of that sticky black stuff you can get from a body shop, or silicone.
When you have the side-screens on you should fold the side wings flat or else they cause a vacuum behind them and suck the screens out. Also the water runs forwards into the cockpit from the top of the rear cowl......that,s why the top has to have a rubber seal at the rear .

Guys,
He is talking about a GT40 MK II, NOT a "Cobra".
But honestly, who leaves their GT40 outside?
Well this guy does, but his garage only holds three GTs and a Cobra...............
