He said "Junior"? I love condescending remarks. OK "Chief." Or, how about "OK Boss"?

Speaking of body fat, I visited Santa Monica last weekend and stayed near muscle beach. Didn't even know it existed. Muscle beach is very cool. I could see myself living there year round.

I'm glad you clarified because I thought you were talking to some other junior. Since we are in a GT40 section and I have one, what can I explain to you? Please keep it substantive and on topic.

Yes, can you explain why your side stripe has "Ford" on it? "Superformance" or "GT40" yes, or even "Safir", but your car isn't a Ford.

And how do you spend $20,000 on a 302 4bbl with a "LeMans" cam. I know the sound of the engine is important to you. Do "LeMans" cams cost a lot of money? Is it made from boron or titanium? I hope it's at least made from billet steel stock.

It says Ford because I instructed my painter to paint it that way.

I cannot share details of the engine build as it is proprietary information. For a fee I could provide advice if you are considering a new build.

Share details of a standard bore alloy 302/4bbl with a solid lifter cam? What's the secret recipe of that? No imagination?

And of all the colors in the Crayola crayon box, you picked white? Again, no imagination.

And it would make more sense to me to have had you painter paint "SAFIR" or "SUPERFORMANCE." It's not an Alfa Romeo either, why not ALFA ROMEO on the sides?

BTW, if you like green for your next paint job, please pick Linden Green. Now that's a color that pops!

i think what it is, is that I am in a GT40 section and actually have a GT40 and have the luxury of painting it any way I might fancy. What is everyone's excuse other than just being crotchety old farts who like to argue? Don't worry, I won't block you.

Jeez, this sounds like a guy who called himself jaspar1 and something else and more and has been banned from the Shelby forum every time he comes back. I think he's on #4 now.

No arguments here. Just a statement of opinion.

You spent thousands and thousands of dollars to repaint your Race Car Replica and you picked white? And you changed engines and decided to install a 302/4bbl? When you go to the local ice cream shop, do you order vanilla too? Did you paint the walls, ceilings, baseboard and crown molding in your house all white too?

Why use FORD, it's not a FORD. I'd use ALFA ROMEO.

Linden Green, yup, that's a race car replica color.

Ok that's it I'm blocking you!

OP starts a thread asking a reasonable question. Lots of people who don't now nor have ever owned or set foot in an SPF give a bunch of ridiculous answers. Then as an owner I dared to weigh in and the attack has been on since. I'll never get upset and block anyone or beg moderators to step in. If you don't like what I say then ignore it or keep your cool and blow a few minutes a day trading information and even wits if that's your idea of fun.

SPF GT40 is an awesome car. Ask me anything you like and I'll tell you as an owner who's been through one top to bottom what I like and what I fixed.

Actually, you're wrong. There have been at least a few SPF GT40 replica owners that have responded to the OP (e.g. Igofastr, GT40scotland), not including you, as well as a CAV owner (gsharapa) and even a couple Porsche owners, me included. There's a Porsche comparison in the OP. And Tony owns a Ford GT, an actual real life FORD! Not a replica of a Ford.

And I have stepped foot into an SPF GT40 and driven one. I didn't like it. And the OP should hear both sides of the debate (Porsche versus SPF GT40). Plus we had an actual accomplished racer (Cobra 3170) chime in here too.

Lastly we had our court jester and club dingleberry from NYC check-in too.

Now go repaint that Alfa Romeo of yours in an actual color. And while you're at it, pull that engine and stick a nice stroker crank, rods and pistons in there for some real power for your replica.

Oh BTW, it's KIRKHAM, not Kirkum.

And Mike, one other thing. What's up with calling folks here "junior," "crotchety old farts," and "fat"?

BTW, I never did hear back about the hydrostatic body fat test? Betting is still open.

Don't you just love a guy who jumps on the front foot and lambast people (he doesn't know) only to then proclaim later he's the victim?

I'm starting to like MHNCO, he's making me laugh. I've never seen a dude call so many out, so often, in so little time, only to have to eat humble pie at every turn. Smartest thing he did was walk away from the bets he's laid.

Oh & I'd happily weigh in on the skin fold test too just cos I'm curious. I've put on a few pounds since I've stopped riding as much, but I'm still sub 85kgs at 184cm.

Hey RK, I hear whites the new beige. Wait a while, it will grow on you.

Enjoy,
