Rod knows what this thread is about... my beautiful SPF GT40 which would make his Kirkum disappear when I pulled into the lot

I AM respecting the OP and his question. You on the other hand have nothing other than innuendo, smart a$$ comments and what you have read on the 'net to offer the OP.

And I have thousands of miles in a Superformance GT40...how many do you have? No, this thread is not about me but you sure seem to be trying to make it about you!

I will ask again, what is it that drew you to this forum? After all, we are all only driving hot-rod, replica, wannabee cars according to you. Why do you stay here? And more importantly, when are you leaving?

And I have about 25-30 miles in a SPF GT40, so I'm qualified.

Seriously, NYG doesn't own a Cobra, so you would think he would ask questions about Cobras for sale, eBay, Craigslist, Cobra Country. How about asking questions about various engines for Cobras?

Hint: Don't build a $20,000+ SBF 302/4bbl, because you want "the sound of the 1960's", seriously, a waste of money IMO.

NYG should be attempting to acquire Cobra knowledge, since this website is about Cobras for the most part. But he does none of that.

When the THC wears off, take a look at this video. The exercise and practice will help you immensely with your GT40 and also build your core strength.

918 or csx2000......
CSX2000, which I'd promptly sell and then buy a 918. I'd use the rest of the money to buy oceanfront acreage in Hawaii.

I'd also help out MHNCO with his rehab bills.

Some people drink at the well of knowledge, some only gargle.

What gargling?

Here's another recent post by NYG about CSX2000, being auctioned by the family of CS, for the first time ever:

That makes the decision easier for me. The 918!

Unfortunately, since it's "just any CSX2000", sadly, I wouldn't have any remaining funds to contribute to MHNCO's rehab bills.

I'm not necessarily a Porsche guy, but tried to learn about the 918 a little and learned some trivia about it...

Production began on Sept 18 (9/18)
Only 918 models were made, less than 300 shipped to the US market
And yes, starting price was also 918

Sorry, I'm sure a lot of you guys knew this stuff but I didn't.

Now THAT'S a nice looking Porsche.

Yup, a long thread but I guess somewhere folks are just lounging in...

I had never seen a 918 in person either and when I did it just stopped me in my tracks. A true piece of art and function!

Well, what do you know. You painted a Kirkham.

What's ironic here is that Porsche-philes don't really give 2 $hits about Cobras for the most part. A few years back, I posted a pic of my Kirkham, got a few nice responses, but in general, Porsche fans feel the same way you do about Porsches.

I wouldn't agree with that, Knockers.
My experience says that of all the brand/model loyal car guys there are, it is the Porsche guys who long for visceral Cobra more than any other, even Corvette owners. They tire of the Singer sounding engine and cold, German feel.
They're fantastic machines but they don't make my blood boil, especially in the looks dept.
And who says they're fast, anyways.....
By the time we reach our temporary destination, I will have had the ride of my life. Him...not so much.

I'm kinda doubting that Einstein was contemplating painting a Cobra replica when he said that, but you know what Mahatma Gandhi said, "Full effort is full victory."

So, I'm giving you a "victory" with that Einstein quote.

Better than most around here.
