Default J10

After more than a decade of work, the restoration of J10 as a MKIV draws to an end. Absolutely a work of art and a credit to all the craftsmen who worked on it.

Very very sweet.
Hope to see it at SAAC42?

I got the opportunity to see J10 at the Christmas part in December. MkIV's might be my all time favorite car so it was an absolute honor to stand next to it -- a work of art indeed! The crew has a lot to be proud of.

It is a wonder to behold. Cannot wait to see it in person some day.

Congratulations Jim. Must have been a real challenge as I recall that J-car chassis were early composites.

Cheers,
Glen

The J car tubs were made out of aluminium honeycomb by Brunswick Aerospace, makers of the B1 bomber. It was high tech at the time for a race car.

...and the Jag V12 inches along...

It is a piece of art. I will definitely have to make it out to see it one of these days.

Saw J-11 today at the Concours de Nice in Newport Beach, CA. Same paint livery as J-6 as well. Dan Gurney even showed up as it is 50 years to the day that he won Le Mans with A. J. Dan sprayed the crowd with champagne and the crowd went nuts. Great day!

Jeff:

Thanks. There is still some more work to be done, but the end is in sight. It would not have happened without the efforts of Peter and Teddy at ERA, Ken Thompson in NC and others.

Jim

I posted about your car on the SAAC Forum, and posted 3 photos, I believe me and my wife were just about the first to see it after getting it out of your rig. You were starting it up, a complete gentleman and a pleasure to speak with you. I've done many concourse judgings, while I'm not familiar with all of the inner working of a Mark 4, I believe your car is a perfect example.

Good luck with it
