Default Never before seen GT40 development documents

Interesting article on Racer.com, indicating:

The Ford Motor Company Archives has acquired another treasure trove of material related to the GT and Performance Programs from the 1960s, courtesy of one of its original engineers.

Last year, Ford Performance staged a media event on the development of the GT40 program and the ultimate victory at Le Mans, revealing some of the documentation, design drawings, correspondence and artifacts related to the program. The star of the event was retired Ford Motor Company engineer Mose Noland, who had been part of the winning 1966 team.

Don Eichstaedt, another retired Ford engineer, approached Mose because he had some GT paperwork that he wanted to make sure was preserved. Before joining Ford, Eichstaedt had worked with Kar Kraft and had overseen the build of the Mark IVs for the 1967 race, including the Dan Gurney/A.J. Foyt winning car that year.

As a interesting side note: 3-Lola Gt's (Father of the Ford GT-40's) were built to run LeMans and other races in Europe. I have a very good friend that owns Lola Gt #1 (I believe we all know who he is ), brought the car from Eric Broadley (owner of Lola Cars LTD) in the mid 60's. I was asked 15-20 years ago to inventory the parts to Lola GT #1, before it was restored, I considered it a honor. #2 story, another friend just picked up a Andrew Broadley GT-40 (Only 12 were made) the other day, a truly beautiful GT-40, as another friend said a True 200MPH car. She was caretaker of this car for a year. Cheers TommyRot https://classiccars.com/listings/vie...e-nevada-89460 https://www.gt40s.com/threads/carbon-fiber-gt40.54512/
