Gt40 For Sale!!!right Hook.
Hey guys check this baby out!!! My casual employer is selling his 2nd PRIDE AND JOY having just sold his Robnell Cobra, the detail in this car is AMAZING You can find it at www.oldtimeraustralia.com might well be a bargain for one of you oil rich TEXANS. ,it is worth the look anyways.

Why do you think it's such a bargain that steering wheel must be worth at least $100 Grand, seriously though this car is as close to the real deal as you'll get without buying the real thing and remember the asking price is in AUSTRALIAN RUPEAH.

according to the currency translation for the Australian Dollar, this is a $165k USD right hand drive replica. I think you could buy a CAV TKM for around 60k, and finish it with the same mechanicals for another 30k and have some money left over for gas. It is cool looking though but 250,000 AUD = 165,000 USD.

Thanks for the feedback ,i've posted this again in an effort to gain a realistic idea from people whom might actually be interested in a car and not the views of a salesman looking at a commission........
What is the CAV TKM.....For my info???
....if the price is out of wack with what is available in a similar spec well i guess he'll have to look at resetting it.....

CAV stands for California Advanced Vehicles and I believe that they import the TKM (Turnkey Minus cars) into the US from South Africa without the drivetrain (similar to Superformance and a few other mfg's in South Africa). I think the CAV's TKM sells for 60k and it's breathtaking. Also, I think you could also buy ERA's GT40 TKM for around $80k-$90k. ERA and CAV are pretty well known and respected so their cars should sell for a premium compared to one whose mfg is unknown or at least unstated in the ad. If it doesn't have the mfg's imprimatur, it's anyone's guess who put it together in New Zealand. A car like your friends probably has a lot of great selling points that are simply not known by the present owner, and upon further research, he might find that the car has characteristics that might make the current selling price seem cheap, but I just don't know enough about the GT40s.

Another point of reference would be the Roaring Forties car--Hersh has a beautiful one. The price sheet I got from Gordon Levy indicated a turnkey (not minus) car would start in the low $70K range--and their basic car is already pretty high spec.
