The guy who paid $210,000 does not or should not feel any more like a moron than the passengers who board the same flight paying $115.00 to $850.00 to go to the same destination..

What happened to supply and demand?
Shortly after the dealers recieved their GT-40's they started paying floor plan expenses to keep them roped off, and dsplayed. Pretty soon if you guys think they are a bad buy at $185,000 they'll come down to $165,000 and maybe less.

I would rather be a Ford dealer sitting on a single GT-40 than a Chevy dealer stuck with numerous SSR's.

Supply and demand. That's all.

Big differences Turk......................

The difference between $150 and $850 fares to the same destination is that one bought a non-refundable ticket 30-60 days out to take the family to Disneyland, and the other just found out he had to be in LA for business tomorrow. The airlines held those seats open on purpose because they know there is a demand and value attached for last-minute business travelers.

Unlike the car, if the seat is empty at departure that product is forever spoiled, so the economy of risk is involved.

The other big difference is that $700 is a lot less than $70,000 .

Default GT 40

The picture on the previous page shows one reason why a lot of people do not take their cars to the car shows. Note the way in which the guy feeling the hood is holding his beverage!
