From the "Canadians"

Kit = Kit with loose pieces, some body parts mounted for shipping.
Roller = Rolling chassis with suspension and body installed, maybe other parts as well.
Turnkey Minus = Painted and finished in everyway. Just add motor and tranny.
Turnkey = Running car.

By the way,
A top-shelf turnkey minus car with a show quality paint job and all high end parts runs about $57-63,000 from us or D&D. You can get one hell of a motor for $25,000 as well. Bringing the total cost to around $82,000 for a top-notch running car. My guess is RCR could do the same thing in that range maybe a little higher. The resale on a car like this would bring a higher number than investment. The problem with turnkey cars is that they cannot be produced legally without crash and emissions testings, hence the lack of turnkey cars.

Crossle,
I should have been more clear. It varies from builder to builder In regards to quality of build. But when it comes down 2 it, when trying to re-coupe your investment the buyer is going to scrutinize every aspect of the build. BiLL D. in Cali is doing a top rate job. I even supplied some parts for him to complete his build. But you can bet any less of the type of build will not warrent the same $$$. It is limitless to what we want to spend. But when it comes building a Cobra or a Gt40 why would you want to cheap out on anything. You already have a substantial investment. Again what i'm trying to clairify is if you are going to spend the money and build yourself a QUALITY car, It will be in the same a ball park price to a Turnkey.As for RCR I have only seen pictures. The quiliity looks good but yet are conviced
of the durability and performance. There is not 1 Gt40 on the road to give a clear unbiased opinion of the cars Fran built. Fran mentioned that he had reports of F1 Builders and others leaders in the industry that inspected his work. I emailed him for a copy.. he refused. WHY! I am trying to get as much data on his cars before I make a purchase. I was considering the Lola but those dreams are now gone! Fran Emailed me and stated that none will be available to me. So I inquired about the Mark IV. He has not responded yet. I would think that with important documentation from un-biased judges regarding the quility of the chassis would be on his web site. So since I have no hard data regarding RCR, I will just have to wait and see after the cars are on the road and tested. Recently ther were a threads regarding RF handling on the GT40 Forum. I fortunatly don't have any problems but was surprised of the problems some FOLKS were having with there RF. RF is a proven car with reports of a quility build. Even before I purchased I went and tested A RF. With the other Manfs, on the horizon it is hard to buy from what APPEARS to be a quality car but yet to be proven. No disrespect for the efforts but the data and a full mocked up car should be available to see. Not partially finished examples which I saw alot of at Carlise.

Oliver,

Based on the posts of yours I have read on both forums I would refuse to sell you a product as well regardless of the price you were willing to pay. It would appear that Fran correctly assesed that some customers aren't worth having.

Just my two cents but I think you brought that response on yourself.

With this I must concur as well. He has a tendency to blather about what he thinks he knows.

I understand your responses. It is typical from companies or individuals that have somthing to hide.So let's get this straight..So when a customer asked alot of questions and you don't like them or their opion..You turn them away. You want sugar coated questions and give sugar coated anserws. HMMM! GOOD LUCK. My threads were a discussion orientated. I'm am not attacking anyone. I'm just giving my opion.
