Default New RCR GT40 pics

This is my car as it was being loaded for the PRI show in Florida this weekend. What you see is what you get in their complete kit. They rubbed out the gelcoat and put on some vinyl but that is about it. I am building this car with the optional 6 point roll cage and most of the options they offer. I will be using a ZF tranny and an aluminumn block Yates motor with webers. RCR has done an amazing job with this car and I have found them to be incredibly easy to work with. I think this might be the only GT that I can fit in comfortably with a helmet. I just thought you guys would be interested in my winter project.

Yes, that is the deluxe kit plus some tires. It is a very impressive kit.

How much time did you spend assembling it?
Or dose the Deluxe Plus Kit come as a turn key minus?

That car has not even been delivered yet. It will still need paint, wiring, interior and a lot of little stuff. The picture was just vinyl stripes and bare gelcoat right out of the molds! I think with all the options and some assembly that I requested the total package was around $48k. When it is done I would not trade it for any of the competitors. The big advantage of RCR is that you get a car custom built to your specs.

Very nice !
I talked to the owner (Fran) several months ago on the phone (great guy). I just about put my cobra up for sale to buy a kit. 39k plus drive train, paint ect..... A great price but I figured I would have apx. 75k by the time I was done. The G-50 trans is expensive and the 393 Ford with stacked injection isn't cheap either. Too much for me now.
Some day one will be mine. Good luck & have FUN !

Are you keeping the 289 Kirkham as a stable mate or still thinking about parting with it?

I am thinking about selling it. I have not really been doing any advertising but it will probably have to go. It looks pretty good on the cover of KitCar this month! That almost changes my mind.

Are the pictures on Kit Car the ones taken at R@G? Selling that car would have to hurt, you can stash it in my garage if you want to keep it below the "spousal radar"...............I wouldn't ever try to drive it..............

I made him the same offer about staching it at my house but as good a friends as we are he still didn't bite. However, rumor on the street is that there is a doctor here that is getting very serious about making him an offer that he can't refuse.
