To Fran
I have a severe case of "40 Fever". The more I look at RCR's website and read build journals the worse it gets.
Dandy Don said: "...the front end was very flexible" Is this because the car was not finished? I have seen some RCR owners (Bill D) add square tubing in the front to look more original. Is this mod required to stiffen up the front? Fran, Is there a fuel cell option for the GT40? |
You may want to post this over on gt40s.com
Fran is on there more often. |
John,
Yes FIA FT3 fuel cells are available. We used to offer a tubular original style front rad mount ..this has been discontinued and replaced with waterjet aluminum panels ...more in keeping with our design and fabrication techniques....it also kills two birds with one stone in that it creates the panelling and mounts with less components If you re-read Dans post it will become clearer , he was not refering to the chassis or its associated components.....he made an unclear observation on the bodywork and apologised for it later...as he was not comparing apples to apples.... |
