Default best oil for a Renault UN1 transaxle

I am running a UN1 transaxle with an oil cooler wooth pump. Currantly using Redline MT-90 but I would like to possibly use a better oil. The car is not used for racing just spirited in town driving.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I would say the Redline is fine. In the Renault NG3 and RBT boxes I have I use 80-90W dino oil even for track days with no oil cooler.

Thanks for the reply,
The person who built the box used Redline, and I wanted to add lubricant (I thought it might be low) and figured that I would upgrade if there was a better solution. I am working through what could be a problem with the car. The shifting is almost impossible and I'm trying to rule out each of the variables, lub, clutch, linkage.

Any thought on how to adjust the linkage?\

\thanks again

steve

Sorry I'm not familiar with your GT40 and UN1 box linkage. I have an SPF with RBT box as well as a Lotus Europa with a Renault NG3. Start by eliminating any play at linkage joints. Is your clutch fully disengaging? If you can change gears at the box it's likely in the linkage.

Thanks,
The next check will be the clutch, then the linkage. Is the Europa a John players version. I really like that car.
