In your post at 1:57 sec. the picture of Dan & Shelby, standing next to the car, it looks Gray/Sliverish there. I'm sure Jeff, Lighting has everything to do with the different shades The car on this Video, would this one be considered Ivy Green or BRG? Thanks, cheers Tom. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...tail&FORM=VIRE

Yes, the gray is like Guardsman shifts in the light.
Think that car depicted is more BRG, the Ivy was metal flaked

If you want a cruiser, go ahead with a roadster color like metallic green or gray. If you want to stick to the SC racing lineage and aggressive look, then you need to be thinking along the lines of Guardsman Blue, White, or even the Red the car is currently. All would look great sans any stripes. You already have a gold car…two would be boring.

Technically speaking Ivy Green, Guardsman Blue and Gold do adhear to the S/C racing lineage as they were on Comp and S/C car colors.
Red, bad luck for me now, as I do like Rangoon but think a change is now necessary.
Do like Wimbledon White too, a friend just did one.
All would look great sans any stripes. Agreed!
You already have a gold car…two would be boring. My wife said that too....

I'm a stripes guy, but even with that said, Guardsman Blue even without any stripes is stunning. Something about that color highlights the curves on the body in a subtle yet definitive way.
Edit - I found this photo on line, I'm not sure who's photo or car it is. A guy on Long Island when I lived there some years ago had a Guardsman Blue car without stripes on it. It was gorgeous.

This was the color match to the original 3006 where there was no sunlight hiddenaway and now revived.

Funny short on CSX3047....
Carter Getty had the car and it was gold, it also had bumpers and the FIA wheels on it. Upon sale they were thinking the gold was too much for general sale so they painted it blue, in cheap fashion. (fender color above)
Jack bought the car and it was delivered blue with bumpers and FIA's. Jack also noted that it had the sand cast valve covers to which changes were necessary.....
First Paula and Jack taped off the stripes and proceded to use shaker can white to apply stripes... He pulled the sand cast VC off and replaced with chrome pentroof style. The bumpers were sacked for jack pads and the interior carpet pulled up and replaced with black shag! 70's you know!
FIA's were replaced with Halibrand's.
Then Don S bought the car as Jack needed the capital to buy AM#2 GT40. He regretted the sale and chased Don till his passing to buy it back.
The rest is the Steve Sunshine story and now Anthony.
Ah the Cobra life.....

Interestingly, in that picture I posted above of 3047, it looks like the colour is gold over blue rather than the other way around.
Is there more to the story there?
Cheers,
Glen

Ok, gonna share the process, hope to be driving again next summer.
Body on order, hoping to deliver in Spring “23”
Disassembly under way ......
Once the body is off I’ll work on the frame and hardware upgrades.

Ah,
My brothers car.
New 347 Stroker added.
It’s a 4spd car with disc brakes on all four corners
Inside very clean, keep trying to get him to paint it.

Much to clean up.
Previous owner drove some in wet weather.
All areas will be cleaned, primed and epoxy painted for protection from elements.
