Holley Carburetor Instalation And Tuning DVD
I was directed to a online video about tuning Holleys. www.BoxWrench.net. Good video but it kept locking up and or freezing. I found the DVD "Holley Carburetor Installation And Tuning". It is available through several sites. I thought I found a deal at a local parts store. Apparently the DVDs come with most new Holley carbs. The store had one DVD that had been left by a customer. It breaks up and so one almost like the online video. Are the new Holley DVDs available on Amazon ans so on the same? |

I got one of those CD's with a new Holley. I can't get it to play on any of my three computers. It won't even recognize it AS a disc of any kind.
...gotta be a Lucas disc. :)

I was viewing the vacume throttle one, that went much better. Did anyone like the paper clip method?

I've tried it, but I can't seem to get the paperclip to stay on correctly. I don't know if it falls off or slid down or what. So, it's kind of iffy from my stand point (dual carbs here).

I have successfully used a zip tie instead of the paperclip. Zip it up lightly snug, then cut it off when done. I've had paperclips entirely disappear on a test run and that gets pretty irritating. |

The zip tie sounds like the best idea yet. Seting the tesion could be tricky. May want to leave a short leg sticking out. What size of zip tie did you. Curently I have the programable rev limiter set at 6,000 RPM, doesn't seem to be opening. I'll need to take the car somewhere where I can open it up. maybe next summer.

The shortest and lightest one. They are probaby less than six inches in length and are light enough to make a tight circle. They are not the big strong ones -- you might be able to bust these apart with your hands... maybe. |

Thats a good tip Patrick. I got some real small ones AND I think a little WD-40 in just the right place will help as well. So they slide smoothly.

You can also use a twist tie. They work well too.

vacum hose
I have taken a piece of vacum hose about 1/4 inch long with a slit cut in it. I slip it on the secondary control like yawl are using the zip tie and twist tie. It worked well and doesn't come off, hard to overtighten it too.
