1,000 rwhp twin-turbo Hurricane in Colorado
Does anyone know this car or owner/builder Lu Stoddard?
1965 Shelby Cobra Replica - Snail-Fed Serpent WOW - what a beast. Admittedly, it looks like the only "hurricane" parts are the chassis and body starting point, then he pretty much "just went flat nuts from there". |
Not my cup of tea but what a monster! Nicely done and lots of hard work for sure.

Hm 1042
He hasn't been on the Hurricane forum much, but by the looks of this build, he hasn't had the time to post.
I lean toward authenticity, but this car is incredible and congrats to a great builder and fabricator! Matt |
I have seen it at a few shows here in Denver but can't say I know the owner. Ill ask around and see if some know...FYI the bio link attached mentions the owners name tho.

Lou Stoddard
Lou Stoddard is the guys name. Dusty was in pretty constant contact as he built the car. Dusty has a daughter that lives near him and would visit Lou as he went to see his daughter.
The build is also featured in this months issue of Modified Mustangs and Fords. This is a link to the article Paul |
Some of the photos look like Red Rocks in Morrison. Great photos. That's where I take mine. Except now I'm moving so we'll have to do the at Red Rocks in Vegas.

Outstanding work.
