Wheel Size and Information
All,
I'm looking for information on what the backspacing or offset would be on wheels for the HM 427 car. What are our widest options that fit? I'm looking for a 17" wheel and looking to fit the most rubber possible (inside the fenders) on the rear. I was looking at 17x10.5 in back and 17x9's in the front. However, does anyone know the proper backspacing or offset for those to fit properly? They seem to come in an offset of +27mm with a 6.8inch backspacing for the 17x10.5's and a 24mm offset with a 5.95inch backspacing for the 17x9's.
I'm wanting to put 315's in back and 255's in front. I know this can be done on the HM car but I don't recall if I ever asked Mike, Rich or anyone else what the proper measurements would be. I assume I can measure once I get the car. But I was thinking ahead, trying to put the cart before the horse.
