Default Exciting news at Hurricane Motorsports!

First, we would like to say thanks for being patient and bearing with us during this pause in production, but (as you will soon see) we are pretty excited about the results...

Mike and I are very pleased to announce a new owner of Hurricane Motorsports. Please join us in welcoming Joe Partain as the new owner of Hurricane Motorsports! We have been talking with Joe for some time now and have come to an agreement on the sale of the entire company. A critical part of this process for Mike and I was finding a new owner that exhibited the same fundamental values for the company that we have worked hard to reflect in the business: Honesty, integrity, a strong belief in customer service, and a dedication to the product. Joe brings all of that and more to the table taking over the leadership and direction of Hurricane Motorsports. Another aspect that Joe brings to the company is that he has an extensive mechanical engineering background (suspension design and vehicle dynamics in particular). We feel that Joe's technical background coupled with his enthusiasm for Hurricane's line of products will take Hurricane Motorsports to new heights. We feel very lucky to have a new owner that will continue the success and vision of Hurricane Motorsports. More on this from Joe in the future I am sure!

Now for some more good news: Hurricane will now be taking kit orders again immediately for interested parties. This is for the current standard kit offering and the kit price will remain at the amazing price of $15,990! And for the first time ever, Hurricane will be officially offering a turn key minus product at $29,990 including IRS and a bunch of other goodies! The Hurricane Motorsports web site will be updated with the details of this new offering very soon.

To ensure a smooth transition for the new ownership, Mike, Jason, and I will be working closely with Joe and his team for the next few months to help keep things running smoothly so you will probably hear from us from time-to-time. As you can probably tell, we still believe strongly in the Hurricane Motorsports brand and are working hard to make sure Joe has everything he needs to take Hurricane Motorsports to the next level.

Again, thank you for your patience waiting for us to complete this process. We know it took a bit longer than anticipated, but we hope you are as excited as we are about what the future holds for Hurricane Motorsports!

Regards,
Rich Burroughs
Mike Arps

That's great news Rich! I hope you, Mike and Jason won't be strangers once the transition is complete!

Welcome Joe! You're now part of the family! If we (the car owners) can be of any help, please don't hesitate to ask. All of us want to see the business continue and be a success. Feel free to email me if you need anything.

Very good news. I had pretty much settled on the Hurricane as the kit I wanted, and then the news kinda put me back to the drawing board. It is still a while before I order, but I am excited.

Rich, Thanks so much for the great news.

I knew all along that Hurricane was too good of a product to "just fade away". I feel that Hurricane will expand to bigger and greater accomplishments in the replica market and we (car owners) will be there to support this indevor.
I want to Welcome Joe Partain as the new owner and offer up as others have and will, any help to insure his successs.

Its been fun working with all you guys and girls at Hurricane and hope we still have contact in the future as Hurriacne Motorsports moves forward.

Best Regards, Bill & Marilyn Bess

I’m glad to hear this. Hopefully everything will work out for the best and I will be in the market this fall. Hurricane is definitely on my short list. Now I need to update my web site again.

Thanks for all of the positive words and support from current Hurricane Owners and potential customers. It will be a big help as I plan for the future. As you can imagine, I am extremely busy with the transfer of ownership and am in constant communication with Mike and Rich. We are working out all of the logistics in preparation for orders. I have a plan in place that enables us to deliver a kit or turn key minus with the same attention to detail and support that Hurricane is famous for (with the help of Mike, Rich, Jason, and Tamara). I look forward to getting started!!!

Again, thanks.

This is awesome news. I just bought HM 1015 and was wondering about the future of Hurricane. I looked at several kits around the country and was settling on Hurricane kit when I found a finished one for sell. Picked it up on March 29 and 200 miles later I am still tickled to death over my decision. Keep up the great work. Congrat to the new owner.

Will the company remain in Missouri or will you be moving it elsewhere?

KEN

The company will remain in Lee Summit for a short period of time so that Rich, Mike, Jason, and Tamara are close. After that the company will be moved about 200 miles south to Northwest Arkansas. That is the current plan anyway. I am prepared to stay in Lee Summit as long as it takes to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.

Best Regards,
Joe Partain

oooohhhhh......... northwest Arkansas.
Wherabouts? Eureka Springs? Ozark?

Reason I ask, is being an avid motorcyclist, those roads around there are just absolutely KILLER to ride!

Oh, you will be hearing from me about a kit.
(although it may be another year)

I have made a trip through Northwest Arkansas and then up to KC on the backroads. That is definitely some great riding country. I am so itching to order a kit.

Joe,
From one Joe to another, if you feel like giving a kit away to promote the rebirth of Hurricane, I suppose I could bring myself to come pick it up.
