The grey you are referring to connects in the back of your Tach gauge. You do not need the MSD 6AL because your distributor is a STAND ALONE unit. Be sure and match your distributor gear with the type of cam you are running. If you are running an aftermarket cam I would strongly suggest a steel distributor gear. You will have to buy that seperately but it might save you a lot of roadside dissappointment.
