Hi Wayne
Thanks for the emails from Mark there. I have emailed you back.
Hope you have a great Christmas and a safe and happy new year.
Thanks again for looking after me in Evansville and the trip to the 'Run N Gun'.
Hope you get a chance to drop a street motor in the Cobra there for next summer.
Cheers

Hi there Rob
Thought I would take this opportunity on Club Cobra to say have a great christmas there.
I have told everyone about your hospitality and time spent at the Run N Gun with you guys. I really appreciated the time spent.
Thanks for the opportunity of driving with you around Evansville there. Have told everyone here that I thought we had crossed the border into Ohio you were going so fast.
Not the best of seasons to go yatching but good for the Cobra and cruising.
Hope you enjoy Christmas and have some time to get that 427 fired up and cruising.
Cheers

Hi Scott
Last but not least as they say.
Thought I would Post you guys rather than 'email' as I know there will be others who will alert you guys to the fact that I have placed a 'Thread' rather than email you direct.
I thought I could do the three and you could all read them. Don't have one or two of the email addresses also. See below for my address on site.
Hey I can tell some real stories in a public arena here.
Ooops
Better not, as I know there is a certain Aussie that took about two weeks to get in the correct side of the car.
Wayne thought I was going to drive his Suburban as I kept going to the left side as a passenger.
He can tell some horror stories about my driving there also. We went over to the High School one afternoon and he was really worried that I was just going to drive down the left side of the highway.
Any wonder he would not let me near his car. He just kept telling me about the 700 plus HP and the torque. But would not let me near it...
Thought I would say thanks for looking after me at Missouri at the Run N Gun.
I very much appreciated the opportunity of riding with you around the track. In particular the dry out period when we led for every lap - what 'guns' and we didn't even get a trophy for our efforts.
Thanks also for letting me join you in the Cobra during the Parade laps. I look forward to seeing the 'Kit Car' Magazine coverage of the weekend.
Now Scott don't be offended when you look at my photos on site here.
I have not copied your car. I have just left mine in Gel coat and placed a flat black stripe set on it. I was tempted to paint a green stripe but thought that would not be appreciated there.
I get it painted in April in Guardsman blue. I saw the colour on a Cobra at the Gateway track St. Louis on the Sunday. I will use a real white for stripes and possible run the lemon colour over the side guard.
I just left the Gel coat and placed the flat black on the car and the Finishline supplied static cling stickers to drive it around until April.
I have nearly finished all of the interior aluminium and the engine bay. I will Post some photos here when I next get the camera out.
Say Hi to your Mum and Dad there. Did Mum ever get that Corvette?
Once again thanks for your hospitality and the opportunity to crew with you over the weekend at the Run N Gun..
My email is kni-time@bigpond.com
I can get your emails and email you back in the New Year.
Cheers
Bernie

Hi Brent,
Hey sorry there mate I didn't leave you off the list.
Perhaps I should have said the Evansville four.
Sorry did not meet you. Perhaps when I am over next???
I don't think I have worn my welcome out yet. Even the young lady at the Drury Motel there told me I am welcome back.
She hasn't experienced the Georgia moonshine and 360's in the car park yet.
A little back ground on all of this.
I spent just on five weeks in the States. Flew into Chicago prior to the 'Run N Gun' and travelled down to Indy to check out the museum. Then down to Bowling Green Kentucky.
Took of my 'Shelby American' shirt in a phone box out the front, and took a tour of the GM Corvette plant and the Corvette museum.
Then spent a week or so with the guys in Evansville attending the 'Run N Gun' etc.
I spent a day looking around your suburb there. If my geography is right I travelled in on 66 from Owensborough and stopped and looked at the two big housing estates just east of Newburgh.
Caught up with some friends at the McDonald's Restaurant just next to the big drive thru. pharmacy there on the main intersection in Newburg prior to going over to Evansville.
Wayne kindly took me to downtown there to Newburgh one evening and showed me the river front area and the town.
You sure have a great area to cruise.
Well glad to meet you here. Perhaps you can catch up with the guys I mentioned. Wayne (wtcobra) on this Forum and Rob and Scott. All have Cobras. All cruising Evansville to everyones envy.
Lucky eh.
I'm always on the 'Australian Club Cobra' forum. May catch you there.
Cheers

Bernie,
Good to meet you too. I live about 1/2 mile from the pharmacy on the corner. I am just finishing my Unique and have not had a chance to "cruise" Newburgh yet but I am sure looking forward to it. I have not had a chance to meet WT yet but I am sure it won't be much longer.
Have a great holiday

Hello,
I am a recent Cobra replica owner. I live in Warsaw, Indiana. Does the Indiana Cobra Enthusiasts "ICE" still exist? I would love to meet with other Cobra owners to share experiences, ideas, etc.
Thanks

Hi Unique 580
I guess I saw about five Cobras in the Evansville area and now there is one in Newburgh just nearby.
We just chase a few owners up in Victoria and South Australia, by Posting a 'Thread' with a time and a date. Thats how we kicked off the two state run to Mt. Gambier. Expecting about 30 - 40 cars this March at the second event.
The Victorian guys meet on Sundays a a neighbouring cafe. This is also popular.
You may want to email some of the guys on this Thread.
You sure have some good cars in the close vicinity. Real
'Run N Gun' enthusiasts.
Good luck with getting a few together. Look forward to joining you for a run when next over.
Cheers
Bernie

Rick,
My wife and kids are meeting me there at 5:30 tonight to look around. I'm not quite ready to "show" yet but I did hit the road last sunday for a short drive. I have about 3 hours worth of work to do yet and its done. (for now) (-:

I went to a Windy City Cobra Club meeting tonight. They were all very nice people. But it was 160 miles from my home. Are their any other Hoosier Cobra owners that don't live as far south as Evansville. Both the Chicago and Detroit Cobra Clubs are closer for me.
I would really like to join a club in Indiana.
Thanks

Hey Rick,
Remember chasing down the white Cobra with blue stripes going into Boonville about 5 years ago?
Seems like if you're the guy I think you are , you followed me to my place on third street....the green house by City Lake. Later I went out to your house to see your car.
Am I right? You're the only guy I knew of in Boonville who was working on a Cobra at that time.
If it isn't you, who the heck is that guy?
Al
PS sorry to hijack the thread, I just had to know. I cruised Evansville in my Cobra when I lived in Boonville in 1998. Even got the car on MCC when they filmed the Sonic Cruise-in in Newburgh. I returned home to Portland Oregon in 1999. Check the gallery. Maybe pictures will spark a memory. email me through the forum if you're him. I'd like to know how you're doing.

Brent,
I went there a few minutes this am after work. I did not see any Cobras but Gary Walker had his attractive red (orange?) Pantera there. It was the first vehicle you saw as you entered the south west doors. His brother, Bob, has a black SPF.
Al,
Yes it is (was?) me. I really appreciated that ride. That was a very impressive vehicle. The boys talked about it for a good while. At the time, you were talking about sellling it. I guess you did. For a while I watched for it when I went jogging past your house, then it disappeared. That 427 had a strong sound especially without the air cleaner. I will try to Email you later this week.
Greg Alexander, another native Boonvillian is building a Factory Five. I do not know how far along he is now.

Rick,
Yes I did sell the car and I'm glad my memory isn't haywire....where you're concerned. I moved back to Oregon in early Feb. 1999 and sold the car in Sept. 1999.
I'll look forward to your email. Maybe I can offer some suggestions for helping you finish your car.
Al
