I think it will be an open-air track-day beast like the Atom.

Maybe the Sebring bodied, small block version Tom built for himself...

That's a viable choice, but I'm thinking about what is more mainstream and appeals to a larger buying pool? Yes the '32 Deuce Coupe market is saturated with quite a few players, not to mention FFR's recent kit entry. But the allure of all aluminum bodywork is a game changer for this crowd.

The Kirkham's fixed costs are a given. So you make money with volume. I just can't see Arial Atom-type vehicles having this massive following (other than the fact that they go fast and handle like they're on rails). The local Cars & Coffee meet (Irvine...the grand daddy weekly event) is a good measure of this...I believe two Atom's have been the max # on any given Saturday. Even in car rich So Cal there really isn't this crazy demand for them.

Think about it. They own a MIG jet factory in Poland.

It's the flying car we're all supposed to have by now.

A 1962 Ferrari 250 California Spyder...please...or...or...or...a 1973 Ferrari Daytona. Even a Porsche 356 Speedster would be great too.

Whatever it is, please make it reasonably affordable.

I'm not so sure about that. Steel is highly prized, but there were never any aluminum cars and I don't think there is that much of a market for one. If they sold more than a couple a year, I'd be surprised. Check out Brookville and what they cost as well as how many have sold. The same with the now defunct Dearborn Deuce project. They sold for about 20K for just the body( of course that included windshield, power windows and full top), they have been dead for at least 3 years and there are rod shops that have dozens of them awaiting buyers and there were only a couple hundred( maybe) made.
While I agree that an aluminum deuce would be coool, I doubt that most rodders care.

I had no idea that the Atom is so pricey. They just lowered the entry level price to $49,980. Seems like a lot of money to me.

Default Let me clarify...

Dean,
You've got it all wrong. He's my (10 year) older brother. And I can't remember how many times I got dumped off the back of our Honda 50 minibike.

Jamo,
My brother (as you may have guessed) has the Fiat Dino. He bought it in pretty good shape but you know how that goes. His cost per mile is, no joke, $30. And the mechanic is a family friend! And the song wears quick in my ears when we get passed by a Kia minivan.

How many 30k mile services can a Ferrari have with only 30k miles? One per owner. At least.
