Sweet engine!  I wonder if it is worthwhile to go over the ported sections with a mild burr to smooth out the porting ridges left by the machine? All the hard work has been done already.
Can't wait to see this thing all together. When I saw Ironman, especially his garage, it totally revive my love for cobras |

AFR leaves their heads that way as well. I think it helps with the atomization of the fuel charge. Im not touching it. I trust that Keith Craft knows what they are doing. |

Gotcha, I guess turbulence can be good for the fuel/mixture. |

Yes, i am enjoying myself thoroughly now! I almost feel like i am cheating on my girlfriend with this engine. I sat in the garage earlier and just jazzed at the beautiful engine... hours felt like minutes.  |

Your primary header pipes are some of the cleanest I have seen.  Who constructed them?

Oh and i forgot to mention...I am not sure what the kirkhams used to glue this carpet down with, perhaps weldwood cement in spray form, but i can tell you that i have skinned animals and fish that were far less challenging than getting this carpet to come loose.

Bellhousing surgery-removed 3/4" from the top as specified by the Kirkhams
Cutting
Success
Then i needed to drill a hole for the clutch fork pivot ball. I had to bolt the bellhousing to the transmission and simply eyeball the best spot.
Result
Upper and Intermediate steering installed
Another 12 or so more hours of work and the engine will be ready to go in. |

FYI, I "think" I saw that someone posted earlier that the 90 Degree ends on the brake reservoir lines should all be on the master cylinder end to keep them away from the headers.
Car is looking great... I'll have to look you up next time I visit my parents in Birmingham. I would love to see it in person.

You are correct, but i have on a 4 post lift and cannot remove the tires. That, plus i will need the brakes to get it off of the lift. I will reverse once i get the car back up on jack stands again. Thanks though. Feel free to contact me if you are ever headed this way.
