Default Who is David Wagner?

Hi somedayaura,
Good question. David Wagner is the designer and engineer who teemed up with Carroll Shelby for the Shelby Cobras that continued the CSX Cobra series from the first AC Cobras built in the 60's. David is still alive and well and living in Michigan where he continues to build masterful cobras to order. Carroll Shelby made the cobra popular. David Wagner was the guy who made them possible. And I'm sure he is just as smooth and refined as David Wagner the actor!!

[quote=somedayaurora;1099867]Who is David Wagner ? Its not the guy from hart to hart is it ? Seriously I have seen a few ads on his cars . Whats the story ?

I remember when his transfer to Detroit presented and your Dad offered his 427 for sale. If our Eurospec'd 930 turbo hadn't just cleared customs and it's federalization, we would have jumped on his offer!
Not us in Indiana. My parents and their parents all lived in the Detroit area (Dearborn) for as far back as I have been told. Do you know which 427 that was? The #34 S/C perhaps?

I hope that is his contact info. Coming up soon, I’ll need a McCord radiator from him.

I talked to Dave a few months ago (maybe a year?) and he told me he sold most (all) of his inventory to Drew Serb. As many others have said, he's a great guy, so don't hesitate to contact him, but you may need to go through Drew to get what you're looking for.

Do you know if Dave still uses the same gmail as he used to?

Agreed - he really helped me out by sharing some of his 289 knowledge that I could see someone in his field consider trade secret.
