Arno, I was shocked at how complete it is. In fact, I was just out drooling on it and discovered an MSD box under the dash. I guess I get to return mine to Summit! Other than paint and the interior carpet, it really is practically a plug and play. I'm going to mate the tranny to the engine and try to install it this weekend. Oh joy!

Yeah I had a whole list of thing to order, including the MSD box, fuel pump etc.., and I was waiting for the car so I could measure the fuel lines etc before I place the order. Good thing I didn't haha.
I'm really jealous that you have your engine! I talked to Barry last week and he is going to try to get the engine done for the week of Aug 15th, I really hope he does.
He sent me a picture of the TWM intake he just received for our car. Apparently TWM doesn't make a lot of these FE intakes, so it took a while.
Too bad you're in CT because I would be over there this weekend helping you out!

That is one sweet induction! I had stack EFI on my FFR coupe and loved it. The Redline ECU was a challenge to tune at first, but I was determined. I got a wideband and spent a long weekend experimenting until I figured it out. Once tuned, it was awesome! The first challenge is to get each stack completely synchronized to the others. I bought a unisyn and learned quite a few tricks in the process. Wish you were closer, we could definitely help each other out. Good luck and I hope the 15th works out!

Beautimus! What is the fitting for in the fuel tank filler neck?
Hey, and what are the plans for that 65 or 66 Mustang fastback?

That is a vent to help keep air from burping back out when you fill it up.
Now, that Mustang is a 66, completely rust free, and it is done mechanically. It has a 450hp Boss 347, tko600, 3.89 soft locker, 4 wheel power disk brakes, and rack and pinion steering. It flies and handle like it is on rails. I just need to finish painting it and put it back together. Some day...

Funny you should ask! I got the tranny mated up to the engine today.
Thanks to Mike Forte and Steve for quickly sending the correct tailhousing for the TKO600, which I swapped out yesterday. That mounting flange on the tailshaft that has to be trimmed for many cobras is how the tranny mounts in the Kirkham. Anyway, it goes in this weekend!

That is too funny cause I had the exact same issue. Brent sent me a TKO-600 and upon receiving it I saw that the flange was machined off. So I had to send it back to change the tailhousing, all good too go, now, if I had a motor...
Did you degree the bell housing yourself? How much of a pain was it and what did you use? (tool wise, and dowel wise)

Both great vendors, adding real value! Kirkham must be one of the only ones using this tranny mount. Changing out the rear housing was pretty easy. Driving out the three roll pins on the shifter shafts was the scariest part. Not being that familiar with the internal workings of a TKO, I had to trust that when I heard them drop into the tranny they weren't going into the gear box. They weren't. As soon as I cracked the case, they dropped to the floor. I then had a hard time getting the tailhousing to slide back any farther than the end of the alignment pin. I tried everything and it wouldn't budge. I looked at it for a minute and then put my finger tips on the tailhousing flange and pressed against the main housing with my thumbs and it slid right off with little effort! The only other minor issue was the roller bearing race for the intermediate shaft (I think that's what its called) was pretty tight in the mounting hub. I had to very carefully remove it and the shim behind it and move them to the new tailshaft. Hopefully, I'll have no further problems.
This is the 6th Quicktime I've used in the last few years and the first three got degreed, but were perfect. I then read that they didn't require it and didn't do it for this one. Hopefully, that won't turn out to be a mistake!

We have had to dial in a few Quick Time bell housings...It is a lot easier to dial in the bell housing prior to putting it in the car.

Dropped the engine in today. Four bottles of water, three hours looking for crap I needed, one trip to Bill's (Mr. Mustang) shop to borrow an engine leveller as I couldn't find mine, 2,000 cuss words, and two hours of help from the wife to go from this:
