Looking down into the pit of the copper mine. This is the largest excavation in the world. From where I took the picture it is 2.5 miles to the other side. It is also 4,000 ft down to the bottom.

This is one of the tires off of the big dump trucks in the two pictures above. If you look closely in the bottom right hand corner of the pit there is a dump truck.

I love the Copper car. Man, now there's some "meats."

Hopefully, there aren't any environmentalists on this site, because if they see those pictures, they might have a coronary.

And people say Avons are expensive, though you do get 50,000 miles out of them.

I didn't know what to make of the copper Cobras when I saw them in pictures.
But in person, they are STUNNING!

And what kind of Home Makeover requires a copper Kirkham?
And how do I get in on that?

Not long. It collects finger prints better than an FBI crime lab.

Wow, those shots are awesome!
I'd love to have a copy of those first 2 to make posters from.

That's not a good thing, since every time I take my car out, someone wants to put their hands on it.

In that respect, it's fortunate that my car only leaves the garage when there's a lunar eclipse. Can't imagine what a copper Kirkham would be like with copper being so soft.

Uhh, you know there is no dark side of the moon, really. Matter of fact it's all dark.

Can't you put some clear over the copper? I saw an old Ford PU this weekend that had been sanded out, set out to gather a slight "patina", then clear coated. Looked pretty nice.

The Copper mine is an impressive site! 4000 feet deep!? Wow!

Is there like a drain plug at the bottom of the mine for when it rains?
Looks like a big funnel to me!

So who's home is getting made over?

And does this mean we are going to see the Kirkham brothers and their shiny copper car on on prime time TV?
