Yeah, but I'm trying to figure a way to include a new oil pan under the "storm preparedness" budget.....
|
Does any one know the introductory price for the FE pan?? Thanks Bert
|
Guys,
Sorry for the delay in pricing. We had to test the pan on track day (it performed really well) and I got delayed with politics  The oil pan will retail for $1,500--there is over $500 in billet aluminum alone. When we did the original aluminum calculations Sandwich forgot to tell me there were TWO blocks of aluminum required/pan  We will have introductory pricing of $975. We will not hold this pricing for long. The pans are spectacularly beautiful--and functional. We got rid of all the original problems. The oil pick up is bolted to the bottom of the motor and the bottom of the pan can be easily removed. The oil pan can now also be removed in an original car without taking off the side pipes and jacking up the motor. We recessed the oil drain and the temperature sending unit hole so there is better clearance by the frame rails. We are making the chip guy happy. David :):):) |
David, I believe I had already sent you a gmail message to count me in for one. in case it got lost in time, count this as my request for one. we all know you've been past your eyeballs busy and I for one appreciate all you do.
Best wishes. Curtis |

Trying to catch up. These oil pans are really beautiful. Even one of my guys commented to me today on how nice it looks on a motor (in the bronze car). Yes, we made a car out of bronze. David :):):) |
sorry. stupid iPhone sometimes double posts.
|
I just had a question...
The oil pick up tube is included with the pan. We made it from stainless :D David :):):) |
Nice pan, do you have a billet aluminum flywheel for the FE?

guys
I would like to get in on build list under your introductory pricing. Called today. Tom said David would call me. I will need to verify any fitment issues on my car when I return to Orange County on Friday. What a piece of art!!!! Timing is perfect as I was going to buy a new pan in November. Not too worried about delivery time so wherever I end up on the list is OK |
Gentlemen,
The mill is making chips :) David :):):) |
Nice work David
What are the chances of you making billit pan for 351 windsor stroker. As you know a very popular motor in cobras. Bet you would sell a lot. |

My order is in if that helps in getting to it.

David .... any pictures showing the trap doors ? I assume this pan will also be great for track days ?
Looks like the oil temp and oil drain come off the driver`s side .... right ?? If so , that works better for me . This pan looks like a MAJOR improvement , as I continually have small "weeps" on my Aviaid pan and it`s really starting to bug me . Do the oil scraper "notches " you machined in replace the oil scraper screen the Aviaid unit uses ? Also , how many quarts does it hold .... I must have missed it in the earlier posts you made . Looks like an early Christmas for my ERA . |
billet parts
David, As always, you amaze me! A few more billet parts and I'll have to build another Kirkham. Thanks for the inspiration!
|
David,
I would like to get in on build list under your introductory pricing if it will fit on my ERA with the Shelby Aluminum engine and you will ship it to Switzerland. |

We just tested it on track day--no problems. Sandwich drove round and round and round ALL day. The oil temp an oil drain come off the driver's side. They are recessed in the latest version of the pan. The pan is a major improvement. We are making them as fast as we can. I am quite surprised at how many orders came in. The notches replace the screen and the windage tray. The pan holds 9 quarts, like the original. David :):):) |
