Default Polished car guys when my car sits in the garage it oxidizes a bit...

It polishes out but if it sits for a few weeks i have this issue. I use Nuvite to polish but it comes back eventually. Is there anything I can do to prevent this

Default Polished

Do you polish by hand or machine?
I will look at the brand of polish we use.... Even with a good car cover wood floors (to keep the air dry as possible) the finish requires 2 good polishings a year.
They do look great when freshly polished....

I polish with a machine and touch up by hand. I usually give it one good polish per year. Maybe it's just the maintenance of a polished car. Oh well. I was thinking the car cover may make it worse? I have a nice soft heavy cover

Why not wipe with a wd40 soaked rag after polishing and then buff it; leaves a tiny residue and the shine lasts a long time; works for me in rainy England on old Triumph T120 cases and Borranni rims!
