Way cool!
What kind of clearance is there with a flat hood?

I think that just may be the best looking Cobra I've ever seen. Congrats and enjoy.

No clearance problems at all. This car has a stroked small block, but the FE motors clear the hood as well.

In my purely biased and subjective opinion, I agree . I'll give much credit to the original owner for specifying such a simple, elegant car. I think it is even better looking than the Ford GT, and I love that car.

Get a good side shot when you get a chance. Show the nice curved belly without sidepipes!

Looks beautiful! The street model is very nice. I almost wished we went that route. Enjoy your Kirkham!
Btw, that rear end looks pretty low, any problems with tire rubbing? It is easy enough to adjust on these cars though.

No rubbing that I have noticed. I'll get it on a lift shortly and take a better look. The stance is perfect. I hope I won't need to raise the rear.
I'm having lots of fun with my new toy- a cyclo polisher.

Nice lookin car.
When I got my FFR mkII I wanted somthing that looked MEAN. The street version looks more elegant than mean.
Perhaps after owning mine for a while I'll get the itch for that elegant look.
What is the sound while driving like? I know my sidepipes are pretty darned loud...especially when I get on it. Is the undercar exhaust quiet or just quieter compared to sidepipes?

That is stunningly beautiful. I imagine you get a lot of open mouthed stares in that puppy.

The under car side pipes are quieter than conventional side pipes. Although they are not quiet by any measure, they are not obnoxiously loud. Cruising at 75-80 mph, I can still have a normal conversation with a passenger.
Conventional side pipes were not an option for me because I have 3 children, including 2 small girls, who enjoy the cars with me. My son burned his leg on a friend's Cobra even after a dozen warnings. I could not let that happen to my girls. I think conventional side pipes on a Kirkham hide one of the best features of the body, the "cowbelly" mentioned by Mickmate. This isn't a criticism of the S/C cars as I love those too, just my personal opinion.
I do hope that as more people see the street cars, they will consider them when building a car. My other cars are over the top with stripes, scoops, wings, etc., so this car is a nice change (not that it is a shrinking violet!).

I think all car enthusiasts like to own something that is admired and appreciated by others, but this car garners otherworldly positive attention. Perhaps it is all the blindness it is causing in my part of sunny Florida
More importantly, the driving experience is fun.

Great looking car! I had my sites set on a street version before I bought my Cobra. Now I still want the street version.... why not have both???

I know what you mean, my wife calls my Cobra the "Happy Car" because it just seems to make people happy where ever we go.
BTW, where are you in FL? I'm in GA just north of the boarder.
