All joking aside here... These cars, at least the body and frame, are built in a MIG AIRCRAFT factory, and by the people whom once built jets.

When I was first planning my build I wasn't planning to build a Kirkham, NO WAY, they were far to expensive. Funny thing was that once I started to price out NEW parts, instead of a donor, the price started to get closer to a Kirkham. I also didn't like the idea of bolting on parts that were not designed for a Cobra. The way they manufacture suggested adapting brakes and hubs to get spinner scared the hell out of me!

So after months of skepticism I decided to "look" at a Kirkham. I'm lucky living in Utah, the Kirkhams are a short 60 minute drive to the south from where I live. I gave them a call, spoke to Mary first, and scheduled a time to come by for the factory tour. Guess what? When I stepped foot onto the manufacturing floor I felt like a crack addict! I started to shake with excitement at what I was seeing. One of the first things I saw was a complete A arm assembly bolted to a car. It was billet aluminum and beautifully machined! A massive rotor and six piston caliper was attached. This was mechanical art at its finest, at that moment I knew I would have one of these sitting in my garage.

I spent a LOT of time with David that day. He invited me to the upcoming track day to test drive his personal Cobra. After one lap I pulled off and reconfirmed what I had decided at the shop.

Now after 5 years and 26k miles I have absolutely ZERO regrets. This is the finest car I have ever owned, or will ever own. I was not looking for comfort or luxury, I wanted a "RAW" powerful ride, exactly what a Cobra provides. At 2100 lbs and 700 HP there is no room for error. The safety is in how one drives and maintains their Cobra. The Kirkhams build strong and beautiful cars. They are also extremely fine and honest people to work with. I challenge anyone to tell of a more positive experience than working with these guys as a customer. No compromise, they are #1.

Mother (OP) left this thread a long time ago.

I think he or she probably figured out that people drive fast with anything that has wheels. Even a Razor scooter has safety issues and here's a very benign example of how dangerous they can be:
