I have always liked the vinyl stripes which add color to the cars. Interestingly, a blue car with white stripes is a "blue" car. Our cars, however, are referred to as the color of the stripes. Sandwich's car is the "yellow" car. I think brushed cars with vinyl stripes are particularly beautiful.
Sweet pic Paul

It looks terrific. The yellow fender stripes are just 2" insulation tape that I happened to have lying around.

Vinyl Stripes & race decals
Guys,
I have to take the credit for the pic that Paul posted because it's my car! Although Paul did indeed supply and apply the yellow pit stripes before setting off to Silverstone race circuit in the UK.
I've attached another pic of the car with race decals applied just before taking the car to the 2012 LeMans Classic.

It looks great and the bits of colour in the decals and stripes really help to lift it to another level.
I wasn't claiming any credit Stuart and I assumed you wouldn't mind me posting the picture of your car.

That's a gorgeous looking Cobra.
Someday when my car leaves the garage, I might have to copy that.

Paul,
No problem, don't mind one bit you posting pics of my car, especially when it gets such glowing remarks from other Cobra enthusiasts including the top man at Kirkham Motorsports! I must be doing something right.
I must post some more pics when my car re-emerges in 'Comp' car spec., fibreglass racing seat, acrylic racing screen, new 600hp 468cu.inch FE currently being built by Barry R at Survival Motorsports, no carpets, no bling, just as raw and uncomfortable as possible! My wife never liked riding in the car anyway, now she definitely won't go near it.

You may as well take the passenger seat out Stuart, no one's going to ride in it without a windscreen.

Yes looks good.
To copy is the best form of flattery - US Bank note Security...
I just added yellow vinyl rookie stripes to my guard/fender..
Are the guard/fender decals copies of the Finishline type static clings..
Do they 'stick' on and 'remove' then throw away or can they be multiple used like the static cling..

I don't think static cling sticks to a brushed body, lol...

You're right, they don't.
Here is a great place to get all your decals:

Never thought of vinyl strips but I really like the look. Plus a lot easier and cheaper to replace vs paint.

Thanks guys.
I have a few sets of static cling from my GT40 etc. yes makes sense with aluminium as the body is not a smooth as painted fibreglass, not to mention the mess on the aluminium after applying soapy water and static cling.
Thanks for the sticky decal link.
