Painted Strips on brushed body?
Just wondering if you can have painted strips on a brushed body? I love silver with blue strips and thought it would look really nice with a Kirkham. Also is there a DIY video for brushing your body from a file stage?

Yes, you can paint on brushed finish, it would look awesome, on the Kirkham website they go through a tutorial on how to brush or polish your car from a filed finish...

On the website there is a section to link named "ABOUT", enter there and scroll down to "TECHNICAL" link, it will then explain how to polish or brush stripes or meatballs on the car, just follow those directions for the entire car, it tells what you will need to do this, "sandpaper, products, etc", also call David or Tom K, they will also give you advice if you need help, I'm polishing my car myself and they have been a great help...

After brushing my Cobra body I used medium gloss black vinyl for stripes. You cannot pick that it is vinyl and not paint.
Maybe I will change to a red of yellow only to totally change the Cobra. Cost here was just on $550 fitted.

We have been very happy with vinyl stripes on our cars. Sandwich has yellow stripes on his ride. They really look cool.

I've always wondered about black vinyl stripes on my ride. Hmmm.

Yes this s similiar to my car - brushed with the low sheen stripes.
After seeing your car with the gum balls I think I may do that next.

Take the scoop off, apply the stripes and then rivet the scoop back on, so the rivets are "unpainted".

We just build the parts...the customers bring them to life
I have always liked the vinyl stripes which add color to the cars. Interestingly, a blue car with white stripes is a "blue" car. Our cars, however, are referred to as the color of the stripes. Sandwich's car is the "yellow" car. I think brushed cars with vinyl stripes are particularly beautiful.
Sweet pic Paul

You could probably clear over a brushed car, if you could find some paint that would stick. I doubt you could get clear to stick over a polished car.
