Clutch fork questions
I have the Kirkham clutch fork and slave cylinder setup on my engine, hopefully finding it's way into KMP 736 sometime over the summer. I'm not quite sure how changing the depth of the pivot point affects the clutch action...I'm not even sure it does. Can anyone enlighten me?
Secondly, with the clutch fully engaged, should the clutch fork have any play, i.e. should the throwout bearing be held lightly against the pressure plate diaphragm spring our should there be some clearance?
And finally, what limits clutch disengagement travel in the Kirkham? Is there a pedal stop that prevents over excursion of the slave cylinder?
Thanks for any insight. I'm really a novice regarding clutch setup and could really use some help here.
