Very, very nice exhaust work.

We are experimenting with those merge collectors right now. Thanks for the tip!

Sure thing David! Walker stated that the other merge collectors are more of a race design and not intended to be welded.

Went by the shop yesterday to go over the rest of the exhaust system details.
We need to switch to an offset muffler for the passenger side due to 289FIA roll bar mount in the front passenger side of the chassis.

I love how he curved the tube instead of having it just do a 90 degree bend out the side.

Those look like the same Spintek mufflers I used if they are 2-1/2 inch in and out. They sound pretty good. Good rumble at idle, Fairly quiet cruising along but as the throttle opens they bark pretty good.

These are the spintech low profile design. The case is 16" long x 9" wide and only 2-1/2" thick. They sell them in 2, 2.25, and 2.5 inlet/outlet size. My exhaust is 2.5" We did not want to choke the motor with a smaller diameter tube

I've used spintechs on a few builds and they sound really great, especially with a modern overhead cam motor!!!!

MP FAB finished up the exhaust today. I plan to pick it up tomorrow morning and will post a video once i get everything sorted out and the car is running. In his defense, i told him to take as long as he wanted since I did not have extra room for the car and it was winter. However, now it is cruising season!

I need to set the timing and dial the carburetor in, but it sounds really awesome. The video really doesn't do it justice.

I took some pictures of the hangers just in case they might help someone else with the fabrication of their own undercar exhaust system.

Rear view of hangers. My fabricator said that Nut-Serts would be too weak, so I told him to weld it.

And i few shots i took of the side of the car while it was still on the lift. 2.5" exhaust is possible!

Love my Spintechs and the best thing is they sound the same now as they did 8 years ago. Just wish I had that 363!

Since I used a tremec without a shorter input shaft and did not use a toploader bellhousing, the transmission mount was off about 1/2". I had a friend cut out some new mount brackets and then had my welder TIG them in place on the frame.
I'll spray the entire crossmember with black epoxy then topcoat with a paint that matches the powder-coating.
Now that the transmission issue is taken care of, all I need to do is register the car and install the interior.

That's good to know. The 363 seems to be extremely powerful. I took the car for a ride up and down the driveway and it doesn't take much to bust the tires loose on pea gravel.

I can't take credit for it, but thanks. If i had welded those mounts in place it would have ruined the underside of the car.
