I set out with a goal to have the bonnet, hatch, and doors all interchangeable.

There are very few of us left in the world who can actually make a car by hand. The labor is unreal in a Coupe. We couldn't have any reasonable volume without very good tooling.

David - I'm a mechanical engineer and I'm always amazed at the lengths you guys go to and the results you achieve. You very obviously love what you're doing.
I'm not surprised Denbeste ordered a twin to your setup table.
Your billet bill each month must be staggering!
Cheers,
Glen

We will recycle 40,000 pounds of aluminum this week. (We've been saving up a bit).

We can eat over 1,000 pounds of aluminum in a day. Our new Mazak will probably carve off 40-50 pounds/minute. It sucks 400 amps of 240V.

400 amps? Wow the cutter must be stout to handle that. How many amps is the spindle?
Morris likes this.

40 hp main spindle
40 hp sub spindle
30 hp head

3 spindles and they can all cut at once.

I am not familiar with a machine of that nature. Is there a video of it in action?

Remember that 400 amps I was talking about??? That is all the power to our entire building. We need to upgrade power.
