Default Brake pads for Girling calipers

My very early Kirkham has the original style suspension and Girling brakes with (I believe) hard racing pads that just never get hot enough during just street driving, and glaze over and squeal. Does anyone here know if softer pads are available and where I might find them ? Internet search was fruitless.

Are you using the Girling CR caliper?

Why not use this type of Co.? Carbotech Performance Brakes: Products-Girling Calipers Brake Pads & Shoes
Might have to send/ scan of the pad you have and they`ll match up the profile.

Larry; don't know model of caliper, it's a copy of the original , very large 2 piston.

Ross: thanks for the link, I'll call them tomorow.

I believe the calipers are CR's or a modern copy of them. In addition to what Ross suggests, call Porterfield and see what they suggest. They have more pads then just what's listed on their site.

If you're still stumped, try these guys. Classic Car Brake Parts - PowerTrack Ltd - for brake parts for classic cars and commercials and vintage vehicles

I needed to rebuild my Girling slave cylinder and they had the kit and were great to deal with. Fast delivery as well from the UK.

Looks like Portefield or Carbotech might have what I'm looking for, I'll be calling them tomorrow. Thanks for the leads.
