Default Inner CV boot replacement

I can't say for sure how long it's been torn (in two at this point). 8,400 miles/7 years old, BTW. The tear looks somewhat fresh because the newly exposed edges are "clean". Grease has been flung but not excessive - it tore at the narrowest part of the shaft, not a typical bellows area. The CV joint remains well gooped up.
At any rate, I'm replacing all of the boots.
How much of a PITA is it?
Any tips or pointers?

Thanks in advance.

PS - I know you're never done with these cars but I swear I had that feeling for a few weeks

Sure...Don't expect to be maintenance free with 750HP and not break $#it.

Assuming this happened now that you have a proper (improved) clutch to transmit more of that torque through the half-shafts?

Rodney,

I'm also in need of new boots and I've been contemplating using these:

Shootnride,
Wrong style of boot but thanks. Interesting product. I wonder how it ages?

ACademic,
I would assume the shafts would have to twist quite a bit to tear a boot
