hydraulic clutch slave cylinder
i purchased the hydraulic clutch slave set up from Kirkham. Like everything they do, it fits and works very nicely.
when setting it up, it is important to make sure the cylinder is all the way down in its bore. i set up the resting position so that the throwout bearing will not be touching the pressure plate fingers at rest - about a tenth of an inch clearance. To do that, I had to create a longer pushrod - almost an inch longer than the one that is included. it just requires a grade 8 bolt with 5/16-24 thread (fine thread)
Also, I think it is important to use a return spring. My pantera is setup this way from the factory. otherwise the throwout bearing will still ride on the clutch fingers to some degree. there are lots of opinions about this out there, but it is relatively easy to do. the kirkham set up does not come equipped for that, but all you need is a spring (like a stiff throttle return spring) and to fabricate a mount for it.
