Default Response to brushed aluminum body

I have a slabside brush alum Kirkham # 432. I feel it’s much better looking than the polished. Or the raw for sure. I wouldn’t want a vintage looking track car to look like a piece of jewelry. My friend has a big block car that polished and it’s nice when the ying and yang are there. I would hesitate and would go any other way than the brushed alum. What were your concerns, you clean with windex and a scratch out with scotch red-brite
