I by no means am trying to start an argument here about resale values, etc. of Kirkhams vs. Cobras, but one would think with Kirkhams being nearly identical to original Shelbys, the price would be a little higher. Just the current market, or is there another reason I'm not aware of about this example?

CSX cars have always brought a premium over any other Cobra, period. Now there might be all kinds of good or bad reasons for this but one over riding factor is clear:
It's got the coveted CSX number and carries the LEGAL name of Cobra. That pretty much sums it up. Wether or not the "value" is justified (and I think it is) could go on for pages (about 44 pages so far..........) Ernie |

Market is soft for all Cobra flavors. SAI, Kirkhams, ERA, and SPF are all a bit tough to sell but price does NOT seem to be the biggest factor. |

I was just checking Cobra Country. LOT's of Cobras in the 35K range, take your pick! LOT's of SPF's in the 40's, take your pick! Want cheap? A smattering in the 20's! HARD to find the "one" you want. The "one" that has ALL the stuff you want, at ANY price! Ernie |
First I think there maybe a reserve (not sure and I'm too damn lazy to check) With no bids the "reserve not met" line may not show till there is a bid.
Second while this is a real good price it's still 71K. I know with the war going on and the loopy economy people are not buying toys at this moment. If I had that money under my mattress I'd probably leave it there for 6 months or so. I'm more worried about the economy then I am Kirkham. :D pk |
