750hp,
I have NO IDEA. I wasn't the one asking what the differences were between the two cars.
There were enough differences for some to have paid that premium of "$20,000-$30,000". Not ME.
In my case if the only difference was that one is a Shelby and the other one is not, it was justified to have the measley premium I paid. I couldn't care if the two cars were identical. They are NOT!

Just to keep it straight...Brent F. said he would list the differences quite awhile ago, as Pat recently reminded him at the top of the last page and as was mentioned in previous pages.. He never has.
If the difference leading to the retail price difference consists mostly of the CSX designation and heritige, then that's been generally understood and accepted. May very well be a bargain considering resale prices having that CSX designation. That applies to the arruminum cars as well as the CAV scenario.
Nobody on this thread or others related to it has once called a CSX car a POS...not once. You're mixing the car up with Evan.
This whole recent discussion was initiated by none other than Brent F. This thread had nothing to do with SA until Brent F. posted. Seems to me a better person in that position would not have done so.
I know such a person.
BTW, my reference to the offer being open until Friday was in response to your comment that SA didn't buy any because they heard the 10 had been sold. You already got a great car at the best deal ever...one that I can't imagine will ever be surpassed.

Yes, Brent did promise to list them, and never did.
It would indeed have been an interesting to read what the differences were between the Kirkhams sold then at $55-$60K and the ones from Shelby for $70. I would like to have known myself as a frame of reference.
To ask for it now with a less than complete car and a price that reflects it, implies that Brent's silence says it all. There ARE no differences between the $39K Kirkham, and a $70K Shelby. Just a badge.
Some of us (even those of us who did NOT pay anywhere near that) may be a little sensitive as to our unwise decision to have paid $30,000 more for a Shelby!!You KNOW we didn't!
I guess ( I speak for myself only) I am a little sensitive when it comes to these contrasting figures. Tough to do it without making some us look dumber than we actually are.
Why not wait until they come up with a $29,900 package and then pop the question once again.? The contrast and our idiocy would be more dramatic then!
We have asked Brent to get the hell out of Kirkham's thread where they are trying to sell a few cars and make a buck.
Why invite him back by asking " Hey Brent! What are the differences!" after he has left the premises.
TURK
I'm done unless there are other questions.

I don't know why someone would ask that of Brent since he never answered before. Go ask Pat.
What the heck are you sensitive about? You out-negotiated everybody.
Happy New Year, Pasha.

Jeez -
I go to to a New Years party and miss the fun.
I wasn't inferring that any one was a fool to buy a CSX car - even at 20K more - I believe that in time a CSX car will be worth more than a Kirkham. The only reason I did not go with a CSX car is money - I can afford to have $75K in my car - not $100K. I will pay later when it comes time to sell it, I think

People, I believe Special K posted a thread, or a reply to a thread, several months ago that stated the differences between a SAI Cobra and the KMS replica of a Cobra.
I would do a search and post up, but I'm lazy and not that smart.

I'm greatly disturbed to see that Jamo and Turk were exchanging posts on New Years Eve...you guys are my "party hearty" role models...now you're just a couple of nerds who play with computers when you should've been out raising hell! Clearly, however, Jamo, at least you had been drinking, because everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) knows you have a rear end! Turk, I have a much better POS than you. It's my 1989 Trooper II--the car I park at the bus stop for the bus from Novato to the Financial District. Stats: 0-60 time--17 seconds. Skidpad--.3 gs, if the tires are new. Paint: Multi-hued clearcoat failure bronze. Interior: Kragen's finest seat covers. (They're really cool...when you buy them they're tan, but exposure to uv light turns them purple in less than six months.) Pat, I like you even more than before! That's frightening, isn't it.
I need to get back into private practice soon so I can put enough bucks together to buy one of David's cars...who knows how LOW the price might be by then.
Well, back to my knitting.

Let's face it folks, some of you "can't play well with others". No pointing fingers, you know who you are. Now step away from the keyboard and go out and drive your existing Cobra today. if yours in not running at this time, go sit in it and make engine and gear shift noises for at least five minutes. if you don't have a Cobra at the moment, go stand in front of your front window and make engine and transmission shifter noises until the neighbors call the local rubber room boys on you, either that, or until your wife tells you that enough is enough and to go out and buy yourself a kit already ...........

I'm new to the Cobra community and thought I should throw in my unbiased 2 cents.
I hear many people discussing the quality of the Kirkham version, but never the same about the SA one.
My unbiased opinion is the the only "real" Shelby Cobra was made in Venice CA in the 60's. Everyone else, including SA, is a replica.
And the forum opinion is that the Kirkham is better.

oh chuck, (in my best Abbott & Costello voice)
that subject has been beaten to death over the past year and qualifies the questioner for the Shelby Organ Procurement Program. Do a search on REAL1 and you'll have more info than your head can process.
