That's the same heater we use in the Cobras and small streetrods we build. It really does work well for taking the chill off.
What works "trick" on the engine side of things is to use the same type fitting on the block that is supplied for the heater box connection. (They're actually AC fittings.) They allow you to have a 90' bend from the motor, keeping the hose nice and tight to the intake vs. a large loop.
