Price of FIA Sidepipes
Is the price of the FIA sidepipes the same as the price of the 427 sidepipes? And does Kirkham supply headers for any FIA engines - 260/289/302?
Thanks

No one makes out-of-the-box FIA style sidepipes for Kirkhams or Shelbys. 7000 series Shelby's come with Bellanger steet headers that run under the car and pipes that mate up to them. They look very nice, but are not like the sidepipes used on original shelby team cars. They have to be custom fabricated. You can buy the headers from Wilson headers in Roswell NM for $225 (original style Nassau headers made on the original jigs) and plan on $750-$1000 for the glass packs, tubing, welding etc. Any good exhaust shop can do them for you. There are a variety of places that sell 3 inch mandrel bends that are necessary.

Thorin,
Did you get your side pipe issue worked out?
Anything we can do to help?

Thorin,
We have a new vendor who has made 289 exhaust systems. He is making a complete undercar exhaust for a customer right now. If you, or anyone else, is interested, let me know.

Is the vendor doing FIA sidepipes for leafspring cars?
I would be interested in what he would charge. Right now, I have the Bellanger Road Race headers from Wilson, and I am planning on having a fabricator weld up a set of under the rocker sidepipes out of stainless and they are going to be jet hot coated black. The materials, fabrication and coating are going to run about $1200 for the set. It seems reasonable given they will be custom fitted to my car. Wilson sells the original Bellanger/Nassau headers for $219/set.
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
He is building exhaust for the 289 hybrid street cars that we just sold. No FIA stuff yet.
That does seem like a good price, however, on the custom pipes you are having made.
Been swamped lately, I will drop you an email in the morning.
