Pretty cool. Strange photo though, the copper car in the foreground looks like a 3/4 scale of the aluminum car in the background.

We are planning on making 10 of these Copper cars for our 10th Anniversary. They are really quite stunning in real life. When I got the bill on the copper sheet alone I almost died.
You never know what is brewing in the Kirkham Skunksowina.

High Plains Drifter,
Thank you for your kind words. I have only ever seen one other copper car in my life as well, it was a copper Rolls Royce at Pebble Beach.
Lew, it is the angle of the photo. I KNOW they are both the same size. You would know it too if you saw the bill for the copper sheets! We had to use way more copper sheets than we do aluminum because the copper sheets only come in such small sizes we had to buy a lot of them to get the sizes we needed to make the car. There was a lot of waste and the recycle guy loved us. (We actually sold it directly back to the mill...they thougt we were crazy.)
Rick,
Mike,
Copper--want a 289 Street car with a leaf spring chassis out of copper?
casaleenie,
Many thanks for your kind words.
rbray,
You won't believe what we have brewing in the Skunksownia...
More later...
David

Simply gorgeous! But...I can't get the thought of Revere Ware out of my mind. Hours and hours of scrubbing pot bottoms with old brillo pads.

That is surely a beauty.
A couple of questions come to my feeble mind:
1) How does the copper sheet compare structurally to the aluminum? and
2) How do you maintain that shine - especially if you live near the ocean?
Would you clear coat it to seal it?
And the next question is: What will you guys come up with next?
Sure makes life a bit more interesting. What would be great would be
that I were to nail down a couple of good contracts so I could get one!

How thick is that? Seems like it would have to be pretty thick to be strong enough. How about the weight compared to the aluminum body?
