Default KMP Lemans Top at SEMA 2006

Kirkham had a house car at the show, fitted with the alum Lemans top. I took a few pictures to show the top, and how it was mounted...

Inside view - rear and front-

How to handle the trunk....

The bolt-mount picks up the ferrule that would be used by the soft-top frame.

Yeah, I saw it going down Paradise Road Friday evening after the show in Vegas. Sounded and looked GREAT.

What's with the trunk and how does it work? Can you just swap trunk lids too when you're using the top?

I asked Tom K. at the show what mods would be needed to fit and use the top.
He said “ the trunk fix is no big deal, but I’d have to cut my legs off at the knees to get in and out”.

HSSS427,

The trunk is split in half in the middle. The top portion opens up and the bottom portion opens down. The top portion is covered by the top when it is on so you have to use the bottom 1/2 if you leave the top on. The top 1/2 opens exactly like a normal trunk. If you wanted a "normal" trunk, it is no problem.

ST,

It is tight, but it is not impossible. One of our employees even wants one for his car.

Igofastr,

Thanks for the kind words!

Interestingly, we sold the car BEFORE we even sent it to SEMA to a local just walking into the shop. Maybe we should advertise more! We have sold A LOT of cars in Utah lately. I wonder what it up?

David
