Smile fresh air

I mounted mine in the fender well above the right front tire. Out of site. It's water proof. I drove a 100 miles in the rain since I installed it. No problem. My under the dash vent kit is a hot rod item. Closeable vents.

Smile Pics

I'll try to take a few pictures. They are black and chrome plastic. The louvers are opened or closed by hand. Very simple but it works.

that is exactly the way to mount those marine blowers, you only need to insulate the ducting in the engine compartment. I used common Street rod insulation, aluminum foil on one side, a cloth type insulation on the other. summit carries it.

I just bought two of the 170 CFM blowers, 3 inch. Installing it in the wheel well about the wheel, really doesn't get hit by the tire?

Yes, the tire is VERY close in there! Be careful where you put them! I would put them further forward, away from the turning wheel.

Also, post some pictures and part numbers of the the fans you got!

This is what I bought:

http://www.eangler.com/product/356790865msk.htm

Would it be better to install it just before it goes into the cabin in the engine compartment? Will it fit?

I also got this:

Eangler shipped the blower so fast, I got it overnight! Very well packed, very good company: http://www.eangler.com/product/356790865msk.htm

So I installed it starting Friday night from 9 PM to 1 AM and finished it Saturday from 8:30 AM to 3 PM. Of course this included doing other little things while I was "at it" and a trip to the hardware store for grade 8 bolts, washers, lock nuts, hose clamps, etc. . .

But the job is done and the tires, or should I say "tyres" don't rub yet. I did hard figure 8's in a parking lot and, no rub. The the car did stall. . .gotta adjust that carb. . .but that's a different project. . .

Let me know if you need any insight on the installation. The hardest part was the wiring, since I wanted it to look invisible once it left the wheel well. Yes, it helps a little, but it's no A/C. The hose part over the headers still need to be insulated. . . I am still waiting for the other fan too. . .

Smile vents

RED CSX1

this is a poor pic of the vent on the passager's side

driver's side mounted on the tunnel

fan in the wheel well on the passager's side. It's water proof, I've tested it, about a 100 miles in the rain.
