TRANSMISSION INSTALLATION:
Gents, here are a few things you need to make sure of to finish up your transmission installation.
Pull this plug out of your transmission! If you forget, you will have a GIGABYTE of tranny oil on your floor. This plug is for the installation of the mechanical speedo cable. But, since we do not use the mechanical speedo (we have the cool new electronic gauges) we will need to put a more permanent plug in this hole.

Here is a picture of a cool little billet plug we make--complete with an o-ring so it no leaky, leaky. (Remember to oil the o-ring so it slips in and doesn't get cut on the way in.) If you cut the o-ring, you will have leaky, leaky.

Just take the plug and stick it in the hole. Take the big fender washer we supply you with, along with the 1/4-20 x 1/2 bolt and bolt the baby down so it doesn't fall out at some unopportune moment. (Like when a tech inspector is watching!)

This is the neutral safety switch wiring. It is not used in our car (or original 427 Cobras).

We simply tuck it the wires back by the mount.

Here is a sneak peak of our latest cool part to come off our CNC machines. We water jet the flanges out of 5/16" 304 inch stainless. The tubes are 304 stainless as well. If you notice, the head tubes are all ONE piece! We made special tooling here in house to get the bends as tight as possible. There is NO welding on the head tubes (except for the flanges to the tube, of course). No welds means the head tubes will never fatigue and crack at a head tube joint because there aren't any. Our headers are patterned after Dave Dralle's original
CSX3020. The head tubes merge together at a collector outside of the car.
The head tubes shown here have the extra polished option. Sandwich is the master CNC tube bender programming wizard.

Brazilian Cobra Project
David,
Thanks for all your help.
I am almost finalizing my project. We manage to put the entire car together and now I just have send it to Sid Mosca ( http://www.sidmosca.com.br/) the guy who is famous for painting F1 helmets for Sena, Piquet, Fitipaldi and others.
It should stay there for at least more 3 weeks, after that, the car will go for a person that will do its electrical job and then to the guy that will put the carpet on the car.
As soon as it is ready I will send you pictures.
Yours sincerely,
Eduardo Prada

You Kirkhams NEVER,...... cease to amaze me !
Along with all the other parts you make, the headers are truly a work of art. Even such a small piece like the transmission plug.
I'd love to work with your team free,.... for a year, just to learn fabrication from the best.

With the big move and all the orders we are working on to catch up I just haven't had time. But I would like to do another build. I will definitely keep it in mind!
