Hi DrF,

you did not think you could keep that as a secret from me - did you?

WOW!

Thanks David for posting the pictures. Looks like you have 3 or 4 of them in different stages of construction. Have a question . Has the die for the upper part of the quarter been changed since the one I got from the scratch and dent sale. The air scoop area looks larger. The one on the one I got looks smaller. Looking forward to more pictures. Mark

I don't think we have changed it. We only have one set of CAD data.

Sorry for the dark pictures. We bought a new camera to take care of that problem

Also, please keep checking back on previous photos. I, or Thomas, will be captioning them (and editing them if we need to--I am just trying to get the photos up for you guys ASAP).

As for which car we copied. There are 6 original Coupes and we have used extensive original photos off those cars to copy the car. Remember, ALL the cars were different. Also, we are very fortunate to have one just up the road from us at them Miller Motorsports Park museum. We know the Millers quite well and they have been most kind with letting us take measurements and crawl around their $$$ car. Great people.

Also, Mike McCluskey, who has restored many of the originals, has made replicas for a long time (even for Carroll Shelby). He let us borrow one of his cars Nice to have great friends in the industry. That is a big reason why we are sharing with everyone we can too.

Happy to answer any questions.

David

Fitting the headlight bucket to the bonnet prior to riveting to the substructure. The copper colored spikes sticking out are Clecos. They are a
temporary rivet that is spring loaded and very easy to install and remove.

This is the rear portion of the bonnet.

Front air splitter. This also directs cooling air to the top of the radiator. The parts on the side direct air to the brakes.
Also fitted plastic driving light covers.

Cooling vents. Not all of the original coupes had these. Screens are stainless steel

fitting the headlight covers

Scoop for passenger's side dash ventilation.

Scoop for driver's side dash ventilation. The forward scoop is for the drivers side foot box.

A pillar splitter to get air to the rear brake scoop

Rear brake scoop inlet

The hole in the rear spoiler was to let air out of the cockpit.
